There is no victim caused by this incident

The fallen angsana tree on Jalan Gading Kirana Timur, RW 06, Kelapa Gading Barat Urban Village, Kelapa Gading Sub-district, was evacuated by North Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency's personnel together with PPSU.

5,825 Trees prone to Fall in North Jakarta Handled

Kelapa Gading Barat Urban Village Head, Suyono, said the fallen tree report was delivered at 12 PM. This fallen tree impacted traffic jam around the area.

"We directly deployed 10 PPSU personnel to assist sub-agency personnel and arrange the traffic jam," he said.

According to Suyono, the fallen tree was suspected to have been caused by its brittle roots and porous trunk. So it could not withstand strong wind.

"Joint personnel directly evacuate the trunk, branches and twigs of the tree. Now the traffic has already back to normal," he added.

North Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency's Green Lane Section Head, Priharto Budi Susilo, explained the fallen angsana tree was 60 cm in diameter and about 20 meters high.

"There is no victim caused by this incident," he explained.

After evacuating the fallen trees, he added, personnel will also prune shady trees on Jalan Gading Kirana Timur.
